Tubing and casing couplings

The coupling is made of thick-walled steel about six inches to one foot long. This shorter pipe is used to connect the two joints of the casing/pipe. The internal thread (female thread) of the coupling is processed to match the external thread (male thread) of the sleeve/pipe long joint. The two joints of the pipe are screwed into opposite ends of the joint.
Couplings are only a small part of the price of a string of tubes. However, they are usually purchased with a very fast turnaround time, so customers can send pipeline orders to their customers. The end user is usually an oil company or a drilling rig.
